Services covered
Iguataxi coordinates and provides private transfers mainly related to tourism in Puerto Iguazú and the Triple Frontier. Services may connect airports, hotels, Iguazu Falls and other tourist locations in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
Services may also be arranged for groups, companies, delegations and events, including IguaBus, vans, minibuses, buses, multiple vehicles and other higher-capacity units.
Each service is subject to actual availability, the itinerary, vehicle capacity and applicable operational or legal conditions. Iguataxi does not promise unlimited availability or automatic confirmation of every request.
Requests, quotes and bookings
An initial conversation is not the same as entering into a contract. The process has three distinct stages:
Request or inquiry
Used to ask for information or availability. By itself, it does not create a booking or an obligation to purchase.
Quote
Sets out the proposed commercial terms for a specific service and may remain subject to availability until confirmation.
Confirmed booking
Exists when Iguataxi has confirmed availability, the passenger has received the main service details, had access to these Terms and expressly accepted them through Iguataxi's contracting or confirmation process.
Merely browsing the website, making an inquiry or requesting a quote does not constitute acceptance of these Terms.
Before confirmation, the booking summary should identify:
- date and time
- origin and destination
- number of passengers
- luggage and special items disclosed
- price and currency
- cancellation policy
- any applicable special terms
Electronic acceptance is recorded through a summary, access to the Terms, an unticked checkbox and a confirmation action. Under the current architecture, the automatic receipt records acceptance and its version; the booking is confirmed when Iguataxi validates that the summary matches the quote and sends final confirmation by email or WhatsApp.
Prices, payments and booking advances
The confirmed price is the price applicable to the agreed service. If a later change creates an additional charge, Iguataxi must explain why, disclose the amount before applying it and obtain the client's acceptance. A confirmed price will not be changed unilaterally.
Payment methods
Iguataxi may accept different payment methods depending on availability at the time of contracting. The currency, timing and method of payment will be disclosed before confirmation.
Fees, currency conversions or charges applied directly to the client by a bank, card issuer or financial provider are outside Iguataxi's control. If installments or financing are offered, their terms will be disclosed in advance.
Booking advance
Iguataxi does not normally require an advance for every transfer, but may request one when reasonable due to the particular service, for example:
- vehicle type or special availability
- passenger count or multiple vehicles
- group services, IguaBus, minibuses or buses
- companies, delegations, conferences or events
- high-value services or exceptional allocation of resources
The amount or percentage will be disclosed before confirmation, must be expressly accepted and will be credited toward the total price. There is no mandatory general percentage for every booking.
Transaction documentation
Applicable commercial or payment documentation will be handled in line with applicable rules and the actual transaction details. The client may ask about this before confirming. Issuing documentation does not permit arbitrary tax or administrative surcharges.
Changes to a booking
The client should communicate as early as possible any change that may affect the service, particularly:
- time, origin or destination
- number of adults, children or infants
- amount or type of luggage
- strollers, seats, equipment or other special items
- flight or other arrival reference
- any feature that materially changes the service
If a change alters the operational requirements, Iguataxi may propose another vehicle, an additional unit, a revised price or another condition. Any price change will be disclosed and must be accepted before it applies.
If information about passengers, bags or special items was incorrect or incomplete and the assigned vehicle is no longer sufficient or safe, Iguataxi may require another vehicle or an additional unit and communicate the new cost.
If the client provided correct and sufficiently detailed information but Iguataxi assigned an insufficient vehicle, the client will not bear an additional cost arising exclusively from that allocation error.
Cancellation of ordinary transfers
This is the general policy for ordinary bookings. Special services may have different terms under the next section.
24 hours or more
No chargeLess than 24 hours
15% of the total confirmed priceNo-show
50% of the total confirmed priceCancellations must be sent through an available contact channel. Timing is determined by when Iguataxi receives the message.
What counts as a no-show
A no-show occurs when the vehicle or driver arrived correctly, the passenger did not appear, the applicable grace period elapsed, there was no prior cancellation and reasonable contact attempts were made.
Charges are not absolute: they apply without prejudice to non-waivable legal rights and to events of force majeure, unforeseeable circumstances or causes not attributable to the client where the law so requires.
Amounts already paid may be applied to the relevant charge, and any remaining balance in the client's favor will be refunded where applicable.
Special services and IguaBus
Depending on the circumstances, special services include IguaBus, buses, minibuses, vans, multiple vehicles, tourist groups, companies, events, conferences, delegations or high-value services.
These services may require:
- a booking advance
- different cancellation deadlines or policies
- specific operating conditions
- exceptional allocation of vehicles, drivers or other resources
A special condition applies only if it was disclosed before confirmation, clearly appears in the quote or summary and was expressly accepted by the client.
There is no single advance or cancellation percentage for all special services.
Statutory right of withdrawal
When a distance contract is covered by a statutory right of withdrawal, the client may exercise it through the RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL access under Argentine Provision 954/2025 and the applicable rules. This right is separate from the ordinary contractual cancellation policy in these Terms.
Provision 3/2026 complements that framework and permits reasonable mechanisms used exclusively to verify the user's identity and security. Iguataxi does not require an account, prior registration, a mandatory reason or unnecessary documents to initiate a request.
Cancellation by Iguataxi
Iguataxi may cancel a confirmed booking only for a reasonable cause, such as objective impossibility, force majeure, safety concerns, serious passenger breach or another legitimate circumstance.
Depending on the circumstances and actual availability, Iguataxi will seek to:
- offer an equivalent alternative
- replace the vehicle
- reschedule the service
- refund amounts paid for services not provided
None of the above removes any consumer rights arising from a breach attributable to Iguataxi.
Waiting time
The general grace period applies at hotels, homes, tourist locations, airports and other pickup points.
At hotels, homes and ordinary pickup points, the 25 minutes run from the confirmed time.
Airport pickups
At airports, Iguataxi may adapt pickup timing to the actual flight time, disembarkation, Immigration, Customs, baggage claim and other reasonable airport circumstances. Time does not automatically begin at the exact instant the aircraft lands.
A passenger will not be treated as a no-show merely because they are still completing airport procedures within a reasonable time. The contact channel provided should remain available, and material delays should be reported when possible.
Additional waiting depends on availability. If it involves a charge, it must be disclosed and accepted before it is applied.
Border crossings: Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay
Passengers must verify and carry the personal documents required for the itinerary, including an ID or passport, visas where required, authorizations for minors and any other immigration or entry requirements.
Iguataxi may provide practical guidance based on usual operations, but does not provide professional legal or immigration advice; such guidance does not replace information from the competent authorities.
Iguataxi is not responsible for immigration refusal, insufficient passenger documentation, authority decisions or wholly external border delays when the cause is not attributable to Iguataxi, the vehicle or the assigned carrier.
Border delays may affect schedules and connections. The parties will seek reasonable alternatives in light of the circumstances.
Passengers, capacity and special needs
Each vehicle must remain within its authorized capacity. Iguataxi and the driver may refuse to carry more passengers than permitted or to begin a service that cannot be provided safely or lawfully.
The client must accurately disclose the number of adults, children and infants and communicate relevant special needs so the appropriate vehicle can be selected and the service arranged.
Luggage and load capacity
Before confirming, the client should provide an approximate account of the group's luggage, including:
- large and cabin bags
- backpacks and other bags
- strollers
- special equipment
- bulky items or items requiring special handling
The vehicle is selected according to that information and the passenger count. The service does not include a promise of unlimited luggage.
Luggage during the transfer
Suitcases and packages placed in the trunk or cargo area are treated as luggage delivered to the carrier for transport.
Phones, handbags, documents, headphones, clothing, travel pillows, glasses and other objects kept with the passenger remain in the passenger's personal custody.
Liability for luggage and personal effects is governed by applicable law and the provable circumstances of each case.
Luggage temporarily left in the vehicle
If a passenger asks to leave luggage temporarily inside a vehicle and the driver agrees, custody is limited to externally identifiable or expressly declared items, for example: two suitcases, one backpack and one bag.
Agreeing to keep those items does not mean Iguataxi or the driver acknowledges, inventories or has inspected the internal contents of any suitcase, backpack or bag.
Personal items, valuables and lost property
Valuables
Money, documents, passports, jewelry, phones, computers, cameras and unusually valuable objects should remain in the passenger's personal custody unless expressly handed over and accepted.
Loose items not expressly handed to the driver—such as neck pillows, glasses, headphones, clothing, hats, phones or small objects—are not presumed to have been accepted into custody. This is not an exclusion of liability in the event of proven theft or fault.
Lost property
After a report, Iguataxi will make reasonable efforts to search for, locate, report and return objects later found in a vehicle. It cannot guarantee that every object reported missing actually remained inside the vehicle.
Vehicles and collaborating drivers
Iguataxi may coordinate services through associated drivers, independent carriers, collaborating companies or third-party vehicles selected for the transfer's characteristics and jurisdiction.
A collaborator's involvement does not automatically remove any liability legally attributable to Iguataxi or the service provider. Assignments may change for operational reasons, provided an appropriate solution for the confirmed booking is maintained.
Conduct and safety
Passengers must follow the driver's reasonable instructions, traffic rules, vehicle capacity, safety measures and legal prohibitions.
A service may be refused or interrupted in response to violence, threats, harassment, driving risks, attempts to force the driver to break the law, deliberate damage or transport of illegal items.
Financial consequences will be assessed according to the part of the service actually provided and the circumstances. The client does not automatically forfeit 100% of the price in every case.
Unforeseeable circumstances and force majeure
Unforeseeable or unavoidable events outside the parties' reasonable control may constitute force majeure or an unforeseeable circumstance only when they actually meet the relevant legal requirements.
A breakdown, collision or mechanical problem is not automatically force majeure. In particular, a failure caused by inadequate maintenance is not artificially protected by this clause.
When such an event occurs, the parties will seek to mitigate its effects and, where possible, arrange an alternative, rescheduling or a refund for the part not provided.
Liability
Iguataxi is responsible for the service where the law so provides, according to the confirmed booking, applicable law and the established circumstances of the case.
It is not responsible for consequences caused entirely by matters outside the provider that legally break the chain of causation, such as the passenger's sole act, insufficient immigration documents, a wholly external authority decision or genuine force majeure.
These Terms do not set a general liability cap, exclude entire categories of damage or restrict non-waivable rights of consumers or other persons protected by law.
Refunds
When an amount must be returned, Iguataxi will issue the refund without undue delay and preferably through the original payment method where possible.
Banks and processors may have their own processing times. If the original method cannot receive a direct refund, a reasonable alternative will be agreed. No arbitrary cost will be charged for requesting a refund.
Personal data
The handling of personal data is explained separately in the Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms and acknowledging that the Privacy Policy has been read are distinct concepts, even if both documents are made available through the same confirmation flow.
